For 38 consecutive days this summer, Houston Restaurant Weeks 2026 transforms the greater metro area into one of the country's most ambitious dine-out fundraisers — and residents near Spring, Texas have more reason than ever to pull up a chair.

Now in its 23rd year, the beloved annual campaign runs from August 1 through September 7, 2026, rallying nearly 400 restaurants across Harris, Galveston, and Montgomery counties behind a single powerful mission.

The format is refreshingly simple: participating restaurants craft specially priced, multi-course prix fixe menus for brunch at $25, lunch at $25, or dinner at either $39 or $55 — available for both dine-in and takeout.

Every plate ordered triggers a direct donation to the Houston Food Bank, the largest food bank in the country, without diners ever being asked to open their wallets a second time.

The stakes feel higher this year than in seasons past.

Food banks across Southeast Texas are navigating a painful combination of reduced funding and surging community need, making every reservation made during restaurant weeks Houston carry real weight far beyond the dining room.

Last year's campaign generated more than $1.6 million for the Houston Food Bank — a benchmark that organizers are clearly determined to surpass in 2026.

For north Houston diners, this year's lineup represents one of the strongest local showings the event has ever produced, with 22 participating establishments serving the Spring, Conroe, New Caney, Shenandoah, and Woodlands corridors.

The range spans Brazilian steakhouses, Mexican kitchens, Gulf seafood specialists, and upscale occasion dining — meaning the prix fixe menu Houston experience has never felt more diverse or more accessible for communities north of the city.

What truly sets 2026 apart is the arrival of a notable wave of first-time participants joining seasoned veterans on the roster.

New additions span Caribbean, Latin, French, and Italian concepts, expanding the culinary passport available to diners across the greater metro area.

Menus for the full lineup went live on July 15, giving diners ample runway to plan ahead — and early reservations are strongly encouraged as popular weekend time slots disappear quickly.

The event was founded in 2003 by the late Cleverley Stone, who built the signature Dine Out and Do Good philosophy into a regional institution now entering its third decade.

The Cleverley Stone Foundation continues to steward the campaign, keeping that founding vision alive at a moment when local restaurants and the families they feed need community support most.

If there were ever a year to make Houston Restaurant Weeks a dining priority, 2026 is it.

doing brunch at $25 with a food bank donation built in is honestly a no brainer, wish more cities did this

Patricia WillsRight? I keep telling my sister in Dallas about it and she always asks why they don't have something like this up there.

summer_hHonestly the marketing never really reaches up here. I only found out because a friend mentioned it, not from any local ad or anything.

not trying to be negative but 38 days sounds long until you realize weekends book up in the first two weeks

Marcy DelgadoExactly this. People see 38 days and think they have forever. By mid-August the good spots on Friday and Saturday are already gone.

tommy_bYes! We did takeout last year with two little kids and it worked perfectly. Felt good knowing the donation still counted even though we ate at home.

Jess FontaineSame experience here. Waited too long my first year and ended up with a random Tuesday at 5pm. Not bad but not what I wanted lol.

conroe_carlI saw Fogo de Chao mentioned in another post but not sure if that counts as Spring area. Worth checking the July 15 menu listings directly.

$55 for a multi course dinner that also donates to the food bank is a pretty solid deal tbh

      rosem_77373· Aug 25, 12:43 PM

DaveH_SpringEspecially when you factor in the donation part. A regular prix fixe at that price without the charity angle would still be a decent deal around here.

22 spots up north is honestly way better than past years, used to have to drive into the loop to find good options
