El Palenque Mexican Restaurant is the original Spring location, serving the community since 1987. Founded by the Serna Brothers, El Palenque offers authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites, including sizzling fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, seafood specialties, fresh guacamole and refreshing margaritas from the cantina. Formerly The Black Sheep Bistro in Old Town Spring, Chef Joe Macri brings New York City honed experience to a kitchen where each dish lands with clarity and force. Flavors are deliberate, timing precise. Classical French foundations anchor the menu, expanded through global influence and disciplined execution. Note: There are No highchairs, booster seats or kids menu. This is an intimate 26-seat, chef-driven restaurant, led entirely by one chef. Black Sheep L8V8D currently operates in the evening, serving dinner from 5:00–9:00 pm. By day, the space operates as Tri-State Bagels, also led by Chef Joe with separate hours and service.
